Dr. Kamyar Mehran is a Senior Lecturer in Electrical Power Engineering at the School of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science, Queen Mary University of London, and the founder of the Real-Time Power and Control Systems (RPCS) laboratory. His research spans advanced control and condition monitoring for silicon carbide (SiC)-based power electronics, microgrids, lithium-ion battery systems, and electric/hybrid marine powertrains.
