Korey Department of Neurology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He holds the Florence and Irving Rubinstein Chair in Neuroscience. His research focuses on cerebellar physiology, motor coordination, cognitive/social function, and addiction. Techniques include behavioral studies, optogenetics, and electrophysiology in animal models.
Research Interests: The lab investigates cerebellar roles in motor control, non-motor functions (autism, schizophrenia, addiction, migraine), and neuronal excitability/synaptic transmission. Emphasis is placed on computational principles of the cerebellum and its interactions with other brain regions.
Awards:
- Florence and Irving Rubinstein Chair in Neuroscience
Advising/Grants: No specific grants or trainees listed. Research supported through institutional and transgenic model-based studies.
Labs/Teams: Directs a lab exploring cerebellar contributions to movement and cognition using advanced neurobiological techniques.
