Kamala Imranli-Lowe is a historian specializing in the Caucasus, affiliated with the University of Oxford as an ONGC Visiting Fellow. She earned her PhD in Russian and East European Studies from the University of Birmingham, UK, focusing on territorial conflicts between the first Armenian and Azerbaijani republics (1918–1920/21).
- Research interests: Caucasus history, Armenian and Caucasian Albanian identity, historiography, and nationalism studies.
- Publications: Three books, one edited volume chapter, six peer-reviewed journal articles.
Her current project examines perceptions of the Albanian 'homeland,' church, and identity across late medieval to early modern narratives, including chronicles, memoirs, and official documents, with findings to be published as a monograph and academic presentations.
