Kamal Shouman

Kamal Shouman, M.D., is an Assistant Professor of Neurology and Consultant in the Department of Neurology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. His clinical focus includes autonomic disorders (e.g., orthostatic hypotension, postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome) and peripheral nerve disorders (e.g., inflammatory neuropathies, amyloid neuropathies). He leads research on post-COVID-19 autonomic dysfunction and multiple system atrophy, including clinical trials under the NIH-funded RECOVER initiative. His work also explores autologous mesenchymal stem cell therapies for multiple system atrophy.
