Kalman Watsky

Kalman Watsky, MD, is a Clinical Professor in the Department of Dermatology at Yale School of Medicine. A board-certified dermatologist since 1990, he maintains dual roles in clinical practice and academic medicine. His private practice in New Haven specializes in adult and pediatric dermatology with subspecialty expertise in environmental/occupational dermatology and patch testing for allergic contact dermatitis. At Yale, he serves as a hospital attending and teaches residents and medical students.

Dr. Watsky received his medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine (1983), completed internship at St. Vincent's Hospital, and served as resident/chief resident at Yale-New Haven Hospital (1987-1990). His research focuses on contact dermatitis, patch testing methodologies, and dermatopathology, with particular interests in pediatric allergies, Medicare utilization trends, and emerging allergens.

His publications demonstrate consistent focus on improving patch testing protocols, analyzing allergy patterns across populations, and documenting rare dermatologic reactions. Research frequently addresses both clinical practice and healthcare policy dimensions of dermatologic care.
