Kalina Mincheva

Kalina Mincheva serves as a Gibbs Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at Yale University, having earned her PhD from Johns Hopkins University.

Her research centers on foundational aspects of tropical geometry and commutative algebra of semirings, with specific focus on tropical ideals and tropical schemes. She actively develops computational tools for this field, notably contributing to extensions of the tropical package for Macaulay2 during her summer 2018 visit to the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics in the Sciences.
