Kajsa Emilsson is a researcher at Lund University's School of Social Work and member of the LU Profile Area: Nature-based future solutions. She completed her PhD in Social Work (focus: Social Policy and Sustainability) in early 2023 with the thesis "Support for sustainable welfare? A study of public attitudes related to an eco-social agenda among Swedish residents".
Research Interests center on the intersection of social policy and climate change, including:
- Welfare state development
- Civil society mobilization
- Urban sustainability governance
- Eco-social transformation
Current Projects include:
- Economic Elites in the Climate Change Transformation
- Regulating the Polluter Elite
- Eco-social risks in the Global North
Scientific Recognition:
- Agenda 2030 Award Honorary Mention (2023)
She teaches courses like Methods course and Political Action in Social Work, while coordinating the Civil Society and Social Work research group with Roberto Scaramuzzino.
