Kaitlin Senk is a Lecturer in the Department of Politics, Languages & International Studies at the University of Bath. Previously, she was a Research Fellow at the University of Exeter and affiliated with the Centre for Computational Social Science. She holds a PhD in Political Science from Rice University (2022). Her research focuses on women’s political representation globally, mass partisan polarization, and computational methods in political science.
Education: PhD in Political Science from Rice University (2022). Research interests include women’s legislative behavior, polarization’s gendered impacts, and quantitative methodologies. She has conducted funded projects on financial barriers to women’s political representation in the UK, collaborating with civil society organizations.
Key awards: 2023 CSES GESIS Klingemann Prize for her work on women MPs and polarization. Media engagements include BBC, LBC, and Heart Radio for expertise on US elections. Active in academic networks through conferences like the European Conference on Politics and Gender.
