Kaimipono Wenger is a Professor at Southwestern Law School, where he leads the Eviction Defense Clinic. He holds a B.A. (cum laude) from Arizona State University (1998) and a J.D. from Columbia University (2001). His expertise spans civil rights, housing law, and clinical legal education, with a focus on intersectional advocacy. Prior to joining Southwestern in 2022, he served as a law professor and Director of the Center for Law and Social Justice at Thomas Jefferson School of Law (2005–2022), and previously clerked for Judge Jack B. Weinstein in the Eastern District of New York and practiced corporate law at Cravath, Swaine & Moore in NYC.
His scholarly work emphasizes civil rights and systemic inequities, including presentations at the Congressional Black Caucus Annual Legislative Conference and co-organizing the 2010 Women and Law Conference on 'Women of Color and Intersectionality.' He actively engages in public service, including roles with the Inner City Law Center since 2018 and leadership in clinical legal training.
