Kai Arras

Kai Arras is a Professor at the Institute for Artificial Intelligence (KI) at the University of Stuttgart and heads the Socially Intelligent Robotics (SIR) Lab. His research lies at the intersection of robotics, machine learning, and human-robot interaction (HRI), with a focus on open-world embodied intelligence, sustainably engaging interactive robots, and AI-based industrial robotics. He is also a Cyber Valley Endowed Chair for Autonomous Systems and leads collaborations with institutions like the Fraunhofer Society and the University of Bonn.
