Kadriye AKSAKAL is a Lecturer at Adıyaman University's Vocational School of Health Services, Department of Medical Services and Techniques since 2017. Previously, she served at Van Yüzüncü Yıl University's School of Health Services from 1993 to 2017. Her academic journey began with a Nursing degree from Hacettepe University (1991-1992), followed by a Master's in Public Health (1993-1996).
Her research interests span Public Health, Emergency Medicine, Disaster Management, and Health Education. Her conference presentations focus on medical waste control during disasters, health education for school children, and environmental health impacts. She has examined primary school students' knowledge and behaviors regarding healthy life, nutrition, hygiene, and environmental health issues in Van City.
AKSAKAL's publications reflect her focus on practical public health applications, particularly in disaster contexts and child health education. Her work bridges theoretical knowledge with real-world health challenges faced in the Van region.
As an educator, she has taught extensively across numerous health-related programs including First Aid, Emergency Patient Care, Basic Disaster Awareness, and Anatomy. Her teaching spans multiple departments, demonstrating versatility across the health sciences curriculum.
Her professional experience includes administrative service as Deputy Director of the Vocational School (1993-1995) and clinical nursing experience in Pediatrics, Premature Intensive Care, Emergency, and Gynecology services prior to her academic career.
