Dr. Kadian M. Callahan serves as Associate Dean for Student Success and Community Engagement in the College of Science and Mathematics (CSM) at Kennesaw State University (KSU), while also holding the rank of Professor of Mathematics Education. She earned a B.S. in Mathematical Sciences from Florida A&M University (1998), an M.S. in Secondary Mathematics Education from Indiana University (2002), and a Ph.D. in Mathematics Education from the University of Maryland (2006).

Her research focuses on improving teaching and learning in STEM disciplines, analyzing institutional change efforts, and leading departmental reforms. She oversees initiatives such as the CSM Advising Center, CSM Common Study Hours/Open Math Lab, and the CSM PRESS Summer Bridge Program. Nationally, she co-leads the Accelerating Systemic Change Network (ASCN) and mentors through AAC&U’s Project Kaleidoscope STEM Leadership Institute.
Dr. Callahan’s leadership centers on aligning values with institutional goals to foster student success through policy development, curriculum improvements, and faculty professional development. She emphasizes service-learning projects that apply STEM to community challenges.
