Dr. Ka-Young Lee is an Assistant Professor at South Carolina State University (SC State), affiliated with the Department of Music within the College of Visual & Performing Arts. She joined SC State in 2014 and teaches courses in piano pedagogy, class piano, private piano, ear training, music history, and music appreciation. Dr. Lee serves as a primary academic advisor for freshmen and sophomore music majors and is a member of the music theory committee.

She has extensive experience accompanying the SC State Concert Choir and individual voice/instrument students.
Background: Originally from South Korea, Dr. Lee resides in Columbia, South Carolina, with her family. Her professional activities include collaborative performances with singers and choirs, reflecting her dedication to both teaching and artistic expression.
