KYRIAKOPOULOU EFTHYMIA

Kyriakopoulou Efthymia is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Economics, Athens University of Economics and Business, with simultaneous roles as a Research Fellow at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) and an Extramural Research Fellow at the University of Luxembourg. She holds a PhD in Economics from AUEB and a Docentship (Habilitation) in Economics from SLU, Uppsala.

• Research Focus: Environmental Economics, Urban and Transportation Economics, Economic Geography, and Social Network Economics.
• Funded Projects: 15 research programs coordinated/funded by the European Commission, Swedish Environmental Protection Agency, Bank of Greece, and WWF Hellas, among others.
• Scientific Recognition: Research Fellow (SLU), Extramural Research Fellow (University of Luxembourg), and Council Member of the European Association of Environmental and Resource Economists (EAERE) (2026-2030).
• Publications: Appeared in top journals like Journal of Environmental Economics and Management, Nature, and Regional Science and Urban Economics, with recent work addressing net-zero transport, urban pollution, and climate policy.
