Dr. K. Matthew M. Wong is a Professor of Finance and Director of MBA Programs at The Peter J. Tobin College of Business, St. John's University, where he has been a faculty member since 1989. Under his leadership, the onsite part-time MBA program's US News ranking improved from 182 (2018) to 68 (2023). His expertise spans financial risk management, corporate finance, and financial markets. He holds a PhD in Finance (University of Mississippi), JD (Fordham University School of Law), and CFA designation. Previously, he practiced law at major NYC firms specializing in mergers & acquisitions and structured finance.

Notable contributions include articles on stock performance, asset allocation strategies, and regulatory frameworks in China. He received the CJS Award in Contracts during law school and served on the Board of Advisors for LifeWatch, Inc. (2009–2013).
