Jürgen Wienands

Prof. Dr. Jürgen Wienands is a Full Professor of Molecular and Cellular Immunology at the University Medical Center Göttingen (UMG), where he has served as Dean of Research since 2020. He holds a PhD from the Max Planck Institute for Immunobiology and has held academic positions at the Universities of Freiburg, Bielefeld, and Göttingen. His research focuses on B cell antigen receptor (BCR) signaling, particularly in memory B cells, elucidating molecular mechanisms underlying immunological memory and vaccine efficacy.
