Jürgen Lindner

Dr. Jürgen Lindner serves as the Head of the Magnetism Department within the Institute of Ion Beam Physics and Materials Research at the Helmholtz Center Dresden-Rossendorf (HZDR). His leadership directs cutting-edge research across multiple specialized groups focusing on fundamental and applied magnetism.

His research spans magnetism, magnetic materials, spintronics, and micromagnetics, with specific emphasis on magnetization dynamics, interface phenomena, spin interactions, functional magnetic materials, micromagnetic modeling, and ferroic systems. The department employs both experimental and theoretical approaches to advance understanding of magnetic behaviors for technological applications.

The Magnetism Department comprises six specialized research units: Magnetization Dynamics, Interface Magnetism, Spin: Interaction and Control, Magnetic Functional Materials, Micromagnetic Modeling, and Ferroic Materials, Layers and Applications. These groups operate within HZDR's advanced research infrastructure, utilizing specialized equipment for comprehensive investigations into magnetic phenomena.
