Jürgen Haas

Jürgen Haas serves as Professor and Head of the Bachelor's Programme in Animation at the Lucerne School of Design, Film and Art, Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts, where he has taught since 2005 alongside previous positions at Bauhaus University Weimar and Film Academy Baden-Württemberg.

His educational background includes Art History and Early History studies at the University of Tübingen (1985-1993) and Art Education/Graphic Design at the State Academy of Fine Arts Stuttgart. Professional experience spans co-founding Studio Film Bilder and a partnership with Stuttgart-based media agency jangled nerves GmbH since 1999.

Research focuses on practical applications of animation and media design:

• Virtual character development for child interview enhancement (Virtual Kids project)
• Animated short films in violence prevention (IDN project)
• Mobile-digital strategies for UNESCO World Natural Heritage presentation (ALE project)

His work bridges media-space communication solutions with social impact applications in education and cultural preservation.
