Jürgen Geisler

Jürgen Geisler is a Professor at the University of Oslo's Faculty of Medicine, affiliated with the Department of Medicine and the Division of Medicine and Laboratory Sciences. His research focuses on breast cancer biology, genetic predisposition to cancer, and translational oncology. Key areas include molecular mechanisms of tumor progression, endocrine therapy efficacy, and clinical trials for advanced breast cancers. He leads studies on germline variants in cancer-prone families and the impact of genetic polymorphisms on treatment outcomes.

Geisler's work integrates clinical and genomic data, with a strong emphasis on translational research. Recent projects include evaluating the safety of estrogen therapies in breast cancer patients and developing predictive models for treatment responses in luminal B subtypes.
