Jörg Rocholl

Jörg Rocholl is the President of ESMT Berlin and holds the Deutsche Bank Professorship in Sustainable Finance. He holds a PhD and MPhil from Columbia University, as well as a 'Diplom-Ökonom mit Auszeichnung' from Witten/Herdecke University. His research focuses on sustainable finance, corporate finance, corporate governance, financial intermediation, and central banking, with publications in top-tier journals like the Journal of Finance and Journal of Financial Economics. Rocholl has received prestigious awards including the Distinguished CESifo Affiliate Award, Lamfalussy Fellowship, and Duisenberg Fellowship, and his work has been featured in major international media outlets. He serves on multiple advisory boards, including the German Federal Ministry of Finance, Global Network for Advanced Management (GNAM), and RWE AG, while also holding research affiliations with CEPR and ECGI.
