Prof. Dr.-Ing. Jörg Mehlis is a Professor at the Faculty of Industrial Engineering, University of Applied Sciences Mittweida. He serves as Dean of Studies for Real Estate Management and Facilities Management and has held the professorship in Facility Management since 2010. His work focuses on energy management, sustainability, and lifecycle optimization in building systems.
- Education: Industrial Engineering (Construction) at University of Leipzig, Doctorate in 2005 with a thesis on lifecycle-oriented building data processes.
Research Interests: Facility Management, Energy Management, Sustainable Building Practices, Project Management, and Building Services (HVAC, Lighting, Cooling Systems). His projects emphasize data-driven decision-making for energy efficiency and lifecycle cost optimization.

- Energy concept development for Hochschule Mittweida (2012).
- Energetic analysis of Dresden University Hospital buildings (2012-2014).
Publications: Mehlis has authored works on energy management in FM, building data analysis, and sustainability strategies since 2002.
