Jörg Freyhof

Dr. Jörg Freyhof is a researcher at the Museum of Natural History Leibniz Institute for Evolution and Biodiversity Research in Berlin, Germany. His work spans four major areas: bioeconomy, urban biodiversity change, freshwater conservation, and taxonomy of freshwater fishes. He co-leads the NaturBerlin research cluster focused on urban biodiversity and sustainable urban development, and serves as a contact point for the IUCN Red List Committee and Freshwater Fish Specialist Group.
