Jérôme Ducharme serves as Course Instructor for Guitar and Guitar Ensembles at McGill University's Schulich School of Music, Department of Music Performance. An internationally recognized performer, Ducharme won the 2005 Guitar Foundation of America International Competition leading to a 40-concert North American tour.
His research focuses on classical guitar performance techniques, ensemble direction, and interpretation of contemporary Canadian repertoire. Ducharme maintains an active recording career with releases on Naxos and upcoming projects featuring works by Canadian composer Patrick Roux.
Award highlights include first prize at the 2003 Montréal International Competition and multiple awards at international guitar competitions in France and the United States. He regularly adjudicates for guitar societies and festivals internationally.
