Jérôme Beugnon is a Full Professor of Physics at Sorbonne Université and a researcher at the Laboratoire Kastler Brossel (Collège de France and ENS-PSL). His primary research focuses on ultracold quantum gases, particularly two-dimensional Bose gases and Rydberg Bose gases. He has held academic positions including Associate Professor at Université Pierre et Marie Curie (2008–2023) and has conducted postdoctoral research at Laboratoire Aimé Cotton and Institut d’Optique. Beugnon coordinates major grants such as the ERC Consolidator TORYD (2020–2025) and ANR BOQUATRA (2019–2022). His teaching spans courses in quantum statistics, thermodynamics, and electromagnetism at undergraduate and graduate levels.
