Jyothi U. Menon

Jyothi U. Menon is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biomedical and Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Rhode Island's College of Pharmacy. Her research focuses on nanomedicine, biomaterials, and tissue engineering to develop innovative drug delivery systems and regenerative therapies for chronic diseases, particularly in the lungs and liver. She leads the Nanotherapeutics and Biomaterials Engineering Laboratory, which creates biomimetic nanoparticles and 3D tissue models to study cancer, fibrosis, and inflammation.

Dr. Menon’s research has led to patents on multifunctional nanoparticles and collaborative projects in radionuclide therapy. Her lab’s innovations aim to bridge nanotechnology with clinical applications for personalized medicine.
