Dr. Juyoung Park is a Professor in the Department of Nursing and a member of the Graduate Faculty at the University of Arizona. She also holds a faculty position at the BIO5 Institute and serves as Associate Director of the Brain Digital Technology Laboratory within the College of Nursing. Her career spans academic leadership, including a prior role as Professor and Chair of the Healthy Aging Academy at Florida Atlantic University's School of Social Work, and clinical practice as a former social worker at the South Carolina Department of Mental Health.

Dr. Park specializes in nonpharmacological interventions for chronic pain in older adults, with a focus on Alzheimer’s disease, related dementias, and osteoarthritis. Her research integrates technology such as transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) and functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS) with mind-body approaches like chair yoga and Qigong to develop remotely supervised home-based care solutions.
Her recent publications highlight advancements in understanding how tDCS modifies pain perception in neurodegenerative conditions, machine learning applications for individualized treatment effects, and addressing racial disparities in pain management. She collaborates on telehealth innovations and digital tools to enhance caregiver support.
