Justyna Celeda serves as a Consultant Lecturer at The Leon Schiller National Film School in Łódź, with a career spanning nearly three decades in animation education and professional film production. Her expertise bridges academic training and industry practice through extensive work on student film projects and award-winning animated features.
Specializing in animation and screenwriting, Celeda has directed numerous student films from 1996-2001 including MIŁOŚĆ I GNIEW, NADZIEJE MARIA, and KILKA CHWIL O ANNIE. Her professional breakthrough came with JOKO (2024), an animated film where she served as screenwriter and dialogue director, which received the Grand Prix "Złoty Pegaz" at the Animator International Animated Film Festival and the Grand Prix "Złoty Żmij" at the Etiuda & Anima International Film Festival. The jury praised it as "a rough, bold film with fantastic character analysis that pushes the frame-by-frame genre forward, balancing black humor, tragedy and class emancipation with social commentary. "
Celeda's creative methodology emphasizes character-driven narratives and innovative animation techniques, particularly evident in her consultation work on films like SEXY LAUNDRY (2015) and 98 KG (2021). Her dual role as educator and industry professional provides students with current production insights while maintaining her own creative output.
