Dr. Adamiak's research focuses on innovative rehabilitation approaches, particularly speleotherapy (salt chamber therapy) conducted in the Wieliczka Salt Mine, vibration training, and pulmonary rehabilitation for elderly patients. Her work explores how subterranean environments combined with specialized therapeutic techniques can improve respiratory function, balance, and overall quality of life for patients with chronic conditions. She has made significant contributions to understanding the effects of whole-body vibration training on various physiological parameters including vascular function, blood rheology, and body composition.
Her extensive publication record demonstrates a consistent research trajectory examining the intersection of physical therapy modalities and patient outcomes, with particular emphasis on geriatric populations and specialized rehabilitation techniques. The research shows a clear progression from basic studies on vibration training effects to more complex investigations of combined therapeutic approaches in specialized environments.
Dr. Adamiak serves as a language editor for English and reviewer in the journal "Medical Rehabilitation" (ISSN: 1427-9622) since 2016 and maintains active membership in several professional organizations including the Polish Society of Hemorheology and Microcirculation (since 2018), the National Chamber of Physiotherapists (since 2017), and the Polish Physiotherapy Society (since 2013).
As an educator, she coordinates the Physiotherapy with Balneoclimatology course and the First Aid Course, conducts classes for Erasmus+ students, and supervises master's theses and diploma theses. Her international experience includes multiple Erasmus+ internships in Portugal, Czech Republic, France, Finland, and Italy, enhancing her global perspective on rehabilitation practices.
Her work at the Wieliczka Salt Mine Health Resort represents a unique research environment where she investigates the therapeutic potential of subterranean chambers for respiratory rehabilitation, combining traditional physiotherapy with the unique microclimate of salt mines.
