Justus Eichstädt

Prof. Dr. Justus Eichstädt is Professor and Chair of Ophthalmic Optics / Optical Instrument Technology at the Brandenburg University of Technology, where he has served since 2017. Since 2022, he has also been Dean of the Department of Technology. His work spans optical engineering, ophthalmic optics, and laser technology, with special focus on Rathenow's 223-year history as an optical industry center. He directs both the Laboratory for Ophthalmic Technology and Laboratory for Laser Technology, bridging historical optical traditions with modern technological applications.
