Justine Tansley is an Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Plymouth's School of Health Professions (Faculty of Health). She holds a BSc (Hons) in Podiatry from the University of Plymouth (1999) and is currently completing a Master's in Clinical Research. Her clinical career spans over two decades in NHS podiatry, specializing in diabetic foot care and wound management with Torbay and South Devon NHS teams.

- Research focus: Diabetic foot ulcers complicated by lower limb oedema
- Leadership experience: Former Team Leader of Torbay's Lower Limb Therapy Service
Research interests include optimizing integrated care pathways for patients with complex foot conditions, advancing compression therapy strategies, and improving clinician competencies in edema management. She has secured significant grants including a £54,096 NIHR fellowship (2021) and a £10,000 NIHR/HEE internship (2020).
Her publications address critical gaps in understanding podiatrist attitudes toward edema management and the impact of oedema on ulcer outcomes. Current work focuses on a scoping review to identify effective off-loading and compression interventions for this patient population.
