Ruth Barn

Ruth Barn is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Podiatry at Glasgow Caledonian University. She specializes in foot-related research, particularly focusing on rheumatoid arthritis, diabetes-related foot complications, and inflammatory arthritis. Her work contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to good health and well-being. Dr. Barn has led and collaborated on multiple research projects, including studies on diabetic foot ulcer prevention, musculoskeletal ultrasound in podiatric management, and patient-clinician perspectives on disease remission status.

Her research interests include foot biomechanics, foot ulcer prevention, and the application of motivational interviewing in healthcare.
