Justin Stanton is Assistant Professor of Music and Director of Bands at Evangel University, where he leads the Concert Band, Jazz Band, Marching Band, Brass Ensemble, and Woodwind Ensemble, and teaches courses in music. He joined the faculty in July 2021, returning to his alma mater after years of public school teaching and military service.

His professional focus lies in instrumental music education and ensemble direction, with extensive experience in K–12 music programs and university-level band leadership. His background in military bands and active involvement in church worship music enrich his holistic approach to music and mentorship.
Justin is a member of the College Band Directors National Association, Missouri Music Educators Association, and Missouri Bandmasters Association, and a former member of Oklahoma counterparts. He is also an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God and serves on the worship team at Central Assembly of God.
He currently serves in the Missouri National Guard Band (135th Army Band) in Springfield, MO, continuing a military music career that began with active duty at Ft. Lewis and Ft. Sill. He and his wife, Kara, both Evangel alumni, reside in Nixa, MO, with their two sons, Grayson and Ruston.
