Justin LIM is a Sheridan Fellow at the Faculty of Law, National University of Singapore. He specializes in leveraging private law doctrines to address public environmental issues, with a focus on climate litigation, property law, and environmental regulation. His research also explores the intersection of international environmental law and human rights, as well as experimental jurisprudence related to authority legitimacy and societal obedience.
Education:
- Bachelor of Civil Law (2024)
- BA in Jurisprudence (LLB) with First Class Honours from the University of Oxford (2022)
Research & Outreach: Justin co-authored a regional climate litigation workshop report with Professor Ekaterina Aristova and organized workshops at the University of Oxford and the Asia-Pacific Centre for Environmental Law. He leads the Asia Front as Academic Coordinator for the World’s Youth for Climate Justice (WYCJ) and co-coordinates the WYCJ Singapore Front, engaging states and fostering regional legal capacity-building.
Awards:
- Peter Carter Prize (2022) for top performance at Wadham College, Oxford
Teaching & Affiliations: Justin teaches the 'Principles of Property Law' course and has been a Visiting Researcher at the Asia-Pacific Centre for Environmental Law (2023-2024).
