Justin E. Juskewitch

Justin E. Juskewitch, MD, PhD is an Assistant Professor and Consultant in the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science. He serves as Medical Director of the Immunohematology Reference Laboratory and Associate Medical Director of the Components Laboratory for Transfusion Medicine, focusing on blood product manufacturing, immunohematology, and clinical informatics systems.

• Board-certified in Anatomic & Clinical Pathology, Transfusion Medicine, and Clinical Informatics
• Active in AABB committees (Information Systems, Standards), American Society for Apheresis, and College of American Pathologists
• Holds leadership roles in Mayo Clinic's Blood Management and Electronic Blood Ordering Systems subcommittees

Research Interests span immunohematology, neonatal/pediatric transfusion support, and implementation of emerging technologies in transfusion laboratories. His work explores clinical decision support platforms for transfusion medicine, with recent publications on:

• Guidance for immunocompromised patient plasma therapy
• Geographic epidemiology of immune thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura
