Justin Barbaree

Justin Barbaree is a Senior Lecturer at the University of North Georgia's College of Arts & Letters, specializing in First-Year Composition, ESL, and corpus linguistics. He holds an M.A. in English Literature from Morehead State University (2013), an M.A.T. in TESOL from the School for International Training (2004), and a B.A. in English Literature from Fort Lewis College (2002).

His teaching and research interests include second language reading, grammar instruction, and the application of corpus linguistics to language education. He has extensive international experience, having taught in South Korea from 2004–2015 at institutions like Hallym University and Dongduk Women's University, followed by a role in Northern Arizona University's intensive English program (2015–2016).

Barbaree has presented at academic conferences such as the Korean National TESOL and Gangwando Korean TESOL, focusing on innovative teaching methods like film and project-based learning. His creative work includes a travel-themed article in Groove Magazine.
