Dr. Junyu Zhou is a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in Management at Bangor Business School, Bangor University, since 2023. He holds a PhD in Innovation and Strategic Management from Loughborough University (2024) and an MSc in International Business and Entrepreneurship from the University of Glasgow. His research focuses on innovation strategies, organizational behavior, and digital transformation. He has supervised PhD candidate Fadi Arafat and contributed to grants such as the 2024 Skills and Innovation Voucher on AI usage in SMEs. He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA) since 2024.
Research interests include exploring ambidextrous innovation at individual and organizational levels, leadership roles in fostering innovation, and digital transformation challenges. His work emphasizes the interplay between paradoxical leadership, coordination mechanisms, and employee performance.
Teaching modules include Employee Lifecycle, Contemporary Management Issues, and Marketing Performance Monitoring. He previously taught Entrepreneurship and Strategic Management. His publications span conference papers and book chapters, addressing topics like middle manager empowerment and hierarchical ambidexterity.
