Jungmin Yoo serves as a Teaching Fellow in the University Writing Program at Johns Hopkins University while completing her Ph.D. in the Department of English. Her dual role positions her at the intersection of instructional leadership and advanced literary scholarship within the university's academic structure.
Her educational foundation includes:
- Bachelor of Arts in English literature from Sogang University, South Korea
- Master of Arts in English literature from Sogang University, South Korea
Her research critically examines the British Empire's literary entanglement with East Asian geopolitics throughout the long nineteenth century, bridging Victorian literary studies with postcolonial theory and transnational historical analysis. This interdisciplinary approach manifests in publications across specialized journals including Dickens Quarterly, George Eliot–George Henry Lewes Studies, and Wallace Stevens Journal, demonstrating sustained engagement with canonical authors and geopolitical frameworks.
As an active doctoral candidate, she maintains no student supervision responsibilities or laboratory affiliations. Professional correspondence may be directed to jyoo47@jhu.edu.
