Jung Won LEE is an Assistant Professor of Organizational Behavior in the Management department at ESSEC Business School, France. Her research explores psychological foundations of interpersonal networks and their organizational implications through experimental, survey, and network analysis methodologies.
Her educational background includes a PhD in Management from University College London (2020), MA in Cognitive Studies from Columbia University, and BA in Psychology from University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Dr. Lee investigates how cognitive and motivational processes shape network formation and utilization, with focus on consequences like burnout, abusive supervision, and creativity. Her work bridges organizational behavior, social psychology, and network science to explain workplace dynamics.
Recent publications (2020-2024) consistently examine the psychological costs of network brokerage, revealing how spanning structural holes leads to burnout and abusive behavior while exploring dormant tie reactivation and new relationship formation.
