June Kim is a researcher, teacher, and creative technologist at the University of New South Wales (UNSW), affiliated with the College of Arts, Design and Architecture. With over a decade of experience in the creative field, her work explores the cultural and historical roles of media technology, focusing on immersion and simulation in human interaction and emerging digital art forms.

Her research bridges media technology history with contemporary applications, emphasizing immersive and interactive experiences. She has secured grants such as the 2020-2022 Ministry of Education Singapore Tier 1 grant for Quantum Logos: Developing Alternative Artistic Styles to Communicate Science and participated in the 2022 Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences Research Fellowship Program.
June is actively involved in academic engagement, serving as Conference Chair for SIGGRAPH Asia 2023 and holding leadership roles in SIGGRAPH advisory boards and committees since 2016. Her teaching portfolio includes courses in media arts, animation, visual effects, and interaction design.
