June A. West is the Marjorie R. Sands Associate Professor of Business Administration at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business, where she has been a faculty member since 1997. Her work focuses on organizational communication, leadership, strategy, and change management. She teaches in Darden’s MBA, Executive MBA, and Executive Education programs, including the iLab Innovation Incubator and Center for Global Initiatives, which features global courses in Bahrain, Dubai, and Abu Dhabi.

Her research explores organizational communication during crises, virtual team management, and strategic alignment in post-merger integration. Recent publications analyze digital communication strategies, crisis response in energy and finance, and leadership frameworks for school reform.
She co-chairs the Darden Leadership Communication Council and serves on UVA’s Faculty Senate. She also acts as UVA’s Faculty Liaison to the FBI National Academy and leads faculty teams for the Secretary of Defense Executive Fellows Program and the Gulf Development Program in partnership with the Bahrain Institute for Banking and Finance.
