Dr. Jun Yan is a Professor in the Department of Statistics at the University of Connecticut. His research spans network analytics, spatial extremes, survival analysis, and statistical computing with applications in public health, finance, and environmental science.
His core research interests include: network modeling and analysis, spatial statistics for climate extremes, survival analysis methodologies, statistical computing frameworks, and applications in interdisciplinary domains including sports analytics.
Dr. Yan has developed significant statistical methodologies for network analysis, climate change detection, financial modeling, and health analytics. His recent publications demonstrate innovation in modeling complex network structures, analyzing climate extremes, developing computational approaches for massive datasets, and creating specialized statistical methods for health and finance applications.
