Dr. Jun Li is a Reader in the Department of Chemical and Process Engineering at the University of Strathclyde. He leads research in bioenergy and sustainable energy systems, focusing on biomass valorization and green hydrogen production. His roles include Deputy Theme Lead (Bioenergy) at ETP Scotland (2020–2025) and membership on the UK Supergen Bioenergy Impact Hub Project Management Group. He holds a PhD from KTH Royal Institute of Technology and was a Research Associate at the University of Glasgow.
Research Interests: Clean bioenergy technologies, hydrogen production from biomass/waste, CFD modelling, and techno-economic assessments. Current projects include biomass electrolysis for hydrogen and biosynthesis green hydrogen demonstration. He teaches modules like CP533 (Clean Combustion Technologies) and CP102 (Chemical Engineering Fundamentals).
