Jun Chen serves as a Research Fellow in the Department of Structural Engineering within the Faculty of Engineering at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Trondheim. His research is conducted at the Materialteknisk laboratorium (Materials Technical Laboratory) located at the Gløshaugen campus, a primary engineering research hub of NTNU.
Dr. Chen's work focuses on structural integrity and material performance under dynamic loads, with core expertise spanning Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Materials Engineering. His research specifically addresses structural mechanics challenges and seismic resilience in infrastructure systems, leveraging advanced laboratory testing facilities at NTNU's engineering campus.
