Dr. Julius Francis Gomes is a Postdoctoral Researcher and Project Manager at the University of Oulu’s Oulu Business School and Martti Ahtisaari Institute. He holds a PhD in Management and International Business and has over a decade of experience in phenomenon-driven research, focusing on business ecosystems in digital health, telecommunications, sustainable business, and pharmaceuticals. His roles include managing large-scale projects such as Horizon (MIDAS), Tekes (CyberTRUST), Business Finland (Wille, Stroke-Data, Icory, VitD3ACT), and ERDF initiatives (Covid-19 Rapid Diagnostic Testing).
Research interests center on business models, sustainability, digital health, and business analytics. He actively teaches three courses in the Business Analytics program at both bachelor’s and master’s levels. Key projects include the Nature Positive Northern Ostrobothnia initiative.
Dr. Gomes has coordinated international projects and emphasizes the commercialization of research results. His work bridges innovation management and practical industry applications.
