Dr. Julio Huato is a Professor of Economics at St. Francis College with expertise in financial economics, political economy, and public finance. He holds a PhD from CUNY Graduate Center, MA from New School for Social Research, and BA from Universidad de La Habana.
His research examines capitalist dynamics through Marxian frameworks, including global profit rate trends, digital technology economics, and inequality. Current projects analyze the political economy of modern technology. As executive editor of Science & Society, he oversees scholarly discourse on Marxist theory.
Publications include mathematical modeling of wealth distribution, analyses of pandemic income impacts on mental health, and historical studies of imperialism. Teaching experience spans Drew University, Ramapo College, and SUNY Purchase.
