Juliet P. Kostritsky serves as the Everett D. & Eugenia S. McCurdy Professor of Contract Law and Co-Director of the Center for Business Law at Case Western Reserve University School of Law. She joined the faculty in 1984 after practicing corporate law at Milbank Tweed Hadley and McCloy, holding an endowed chair dedicated to contract law scholarship and teaching.
Her educational credentials include a Juris Doctor from the University of Wisconsin (1980) and a Bachelor of Arts from Harvard College (1976).
Professor Kostritsky's research integrates empirical and interdisciplinary methodologies across contract law, commercial transactions, and business law. Her expertise spans biopharma alliance agreements, merger contracts, supply chain frameworks, and illegal contracts, with publications in top-tier law reviews. She actively bridges academic theory and legal practice through international conference presentations and collaborations with industry professionals.
Her recent scholarship, including the 2025 University Pennsylvania Business Law Journal article, demonstrates ongoing innovation in contract interpretation and transactional law, reflecting her commitment to evolving legal education and practice standards.
