Julien Clement is an Assistant Professor of Organizational Behavior at Stanford Graduate School of Business. His research examines organization design and its impact on collaboration, focusing on the relationship between formal structures and informal social relationships. Using micro-analytic approaches including network analysis and computational modeling, he investigates how organizational structures enable interactions to aggregate into outcomes in contexts ranging from television production to e-Sports.
His current research explores how artificial intelligence deployment affects organizational collaboration and learning. Professor Clement teaches courses in organizational analytics and strategy, including 'HRMGT 210: Organizational Analytics' and 'OB 626: Strategy and Organizations'.
Honors include the John A. and Cynthia Fry Gunn Faculty Scholar award (2022-23) and the INSEAD MBA Alumni PhD Award for Outstanding Academic Achievement (2017).
