Dr. Julie Thorpe is a Professor in the Faculty of Business and Information Technology at Ontario Tech University. She holds a PhD in Computer Science from Carleton University (2008) and a Bachelor of Computer Science (First-Class Honours) from Dalhousie University. Her research focuses on IT security, particularly human factors in authentication systems, biometrics, and password security. Prior to joining Ontario Tech in 2010, she gained eight years of industry experience and taught part-time at Carleton University.
