Julie Tarif

Julie Tarif, PhD, is a Full Teaching Professor in the Department of Modern Languages and Cultural Studies at the University of Alberta’s Faculty of Arts. She specializes in 19th century literature, translation studies, and inclusive language research, particularly focusing on French adaptations of Dickensian texts. Her work addresses issues like discriminatory language patterns and stylistic preservation in translation.
