Claudina Richards is a Professor at the School of Law, University of East Anglia (UEA). She previously taught English Law at Université d’Angers in France before joining UEA in 1997. Her roles include Director of the LL.B in Law with French Law and Language, LL.B in Law with European Legal Systems, and Erasmus Director. She is also a visiting lecturer at Université François Rabelais, Tours, contributing to the M2 Professionnel ‘Juriste Européen’ program.
Her research focuses on European Community Law, comparative legal systems, and issues such as forced marriages, same-sex couple recognition, and regional autonomy (e.g., Corsica). Key themes include legal norm hierarchy, EU legal supremacy, and cross-border legal frameworks. Her work intersects with UN Sustainable Development Goals related to equality, justice, and peace.
